Ipsden Church pipe organ restoration appeal Ipsden Church pipe organ restoration appeal Ipsden Church - Organ Restoration Appeal - save our pipe organ restoration appeal
Can you please help us?

After 120 years of faithful service to the people of Ipsden, our fine pipe organ is coming to the end of its useful life and is in urgent need of restoration. If we cannot raise the funds to restore our pipe organ (£30,000), it will regrettably fall into disrepair and eventually become unplayable, and therefore redundant.

We need your help and are seeking donations to start to build a Restoration Fund. It will take some time to build the fund but we are hopeful that we will be able to obtain some additional significant funding from the various UKā€ˆorgan charities.

Without the help of everyone in Ipsden and its surroundings, it will not be possible to save the organ and the church will probably have to purchase a digital hymn player which is essentially a small computer containing all the hymn tunes we use, played through a loudspeaker. Getting rid of the organ and the organists is, we believe, a very sad and retrograde step. Imagine a wedding service where you could not have Mendelssohn’s Wedding March played on the organ.

Please help keep our wonderful musical heritage in Ipsden Church alive by supporting our appeal to restore the organ and maintain our musical traditions within the church.
